The Coastal Centre is committed to building coastal literacy with schools, with communities and with professionals and local leaders. Greater understanding of our coastal systems, the science, ecosystem threats and best stewardship practices, will help people to make informed decisions. Smart choices depend on knowledge and wisdom.

Living Beaches

Living Beaches is a coastal education program that supports elementary and secondary school learning about Great Lakes coastal systems. It focuses on science, geography, math and arts.

Educational Kits

Educational Resources are developed for teachers and environmental educators looking for ways to introduce students to environmental topics and issues using a Great Lakes context.

Education Resource Kits are made possible by grants and sponsorships allowing us to provide the information for free (charges may apply for print copies).
